Melilotus Officinalis Extract may be formulated into liniments, leg paints, poultices, etc. Coumarin seems to be the major active compound.  Coumarin is transformed to dicoumarol (anticoagulant) in moldy Meliotus hay and is toxic to livestock when so consumed, sweet clover disease.
